For I just accepted an offer to write a paid review that features the accoustical music of Drew Blackard. If you've never heard of him, please check it out tomorrow. I am really impressed with what I've heard so far.

Please forgive how much this is sounding like I am trying to pimp my blog. For it is certainly not meant to be as such. If you would ever want to leave a comment about something that you have going on here on one of my posts, it would be most welcome.Guestnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-243480971247449908.post-38654696143265100772009-05-13T10:40:00.001-05:002009-05-13T10:40:00.001-05:00Well, I can't speak for everyone else but I've bee...Well, I can't speak for everyone else but I've been sticking to the acoustic guitar for the most part of a year so there hasn't been much 11-amp turning. But if that's what it takes to get people to hug some trees then maybe I should be walking down the street with my electric and my amp cranked.

Good choices for OLP tunes. Some of their older stuff has a more grittier sound. They changed guitarists for Gravity and it was a very commercial sounding album. (Not that I'm saying there is anything wrong with that.)

As for next week's TFT...The Verve Pipe?Eric Fryenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-243480971247449908.post-73128422319907405862009-05-12T14:50:00.001-05:002009-05-12T14:50:00.001-05:00Could it be that tree-hugging comes from being aro...Could it be that tree-hugging comes from being around amps turned up to 11? I mean, there sure seems like a lot of you musical-types out there being green.

Anyway, it you didn't see it yet, the TWO FOR TUESDAY this week is Innocent and Somewhere Out There by Our Lady Peace. After listening to those songs, it was The Verve Pipe, not Soundgarden, that I thought Our Lady Peace sounded a lot like--mostly on account of Verve Pipe's "We Were Merely Freshmen." Wanna guess who will be next on TWO FOR TUESDAY?FishHawknoreply@blogger.com
